Mackays
Producers of Bananas, Papaya, Sugar Cane & Cattle
From the first banana crop in Northern Australia planted in 1945 by industry pioneer Stanley Mackay, a long standing family tradition began. Located in the small town of Tully, Tropical North Queensland, the Mackay family’s five farming properties (set on 3,600 hectares) receive the highest rainfall in the country with hot, humid conditions. This has proven to be the ideal environment for growing bananas, sugar cane and papaya.
Year long access to limitless feed and water and careful stock selection means the families herd of warm climate grass fed cattle can be managed in a low stress environment, yielding both taste and tenderness required by the consumer market.
